**ATTENTION CRI PRO KART TOUR CROSSROADS MOTORPLEX JUNIOR DRIVERS & CREWS**

We will be issuing the RESTRICTOR PLATES at SAFETY Tech for everyone to use in the below classes. ONLY the Drivers and Crews of the classes listed below should come to safety tech. All other classes are NOT required to come to Safety Tech but will be expected follow all safety requirements.

  • PRO Junior Clone
  • PRO Junior Sportsman Clone
  • Junior Clone Heavy
  • Junior Sportsman Clone Heavy

Even though these classes are not running on Friday, we ask that you PLEASE bring your kart and race engine (engine does not have to be bolted to kart) to safety tech if possible on friday. This will make Saturday go much smoother for you and us if we can get most of this done on Friday. ONLY these 4 classes need to go through safety tech and get their restrictor.

Once in safety tech, each Junior Driver kart will be inspected (seat height, body height, weights, etc…). Make sure to bring the kart with all four tires on it.

IN ADDITION, all crews will be responsible for removing the restrictor plate currently in your RACE engine so please bring the appropriate tools to do this. Once removed, tech inspectors will issue a plate to you which will be stamped with PKT and have a serial number on it. CREWS Must INSTALL the Plate at Safety Tech. Once installed, a tech inspector will seal the carb bolts of the engine to ensure no one is going back to the trailer to stretch the plate. We have had special seals made for this event and will not just be the paint process. This seal MUST be intact during post tech. If for any reason you feel you need to break the seal YOUMUST CONTACT A TECHNICAL INSPECTOR First.

The plates are $10 a piece and they are yours to keep. We will not be taking deposits this year. We will not be taking returns on the plates this year. Once in your motor, you own it. This makes it much easier on our tech officials to focus on post race inspection instead of trying to handle returning deposits regarding restrictor plates. Any questions or concerns regarding the specific process please contact me directly at 615.427.3427.

We feel like this will level the playing field for our highest paying Junior Classes. We are expecting a record number of entries for our plates classes and we are going to do everything in our power to ensure we keep everyone on the straight and narrow.
