SAFETY TECH
We will NOT be issuing restrictor plates for the foreseeable future. We are gonna focus our time to the safety portion of “safety tech” for this event. Therefore, everyone will run their own plate, and will be expected to pass all post tech requirements. Any questions about the legality of your plate, please see Tom Stiverson or Jeff Jones at the track. We will have plates for sale if you need one. These are optional.
ALL JUNIOR KARTS & HELMET GO TO SAFETY TECH
Once in safety tech, each Junior Driver kart will be inspected (seat height, body height, weights, etc…). Make sure to bring the kart with all four tires on it.
Additional notes for SAFETY TECH:
*PRO Jr 1, Jr 1 Lite, Jr 1 Heavy, PRO Jr 2, Jr 2 Lite, Jr 2 Heavy, Jr Sportsman Clone
14″ MAXIMUM Height on Nose Cone (From the Ground) === Please note the change here. You will have to cut the lip off of your nosecone if running Jr 1 or Jr 2 classes above. This will be the rule all year. The norm out west is to run the big body in the Jr Classes. I have never been a huge fan of this rule (adult bodies in kid classes). The kids are just too low in the kart with a big body. So, please make sure to come to safety tech with the lip already trimmed away. Any problems or issues with this, please contact Will at 6154273427.
NO Steering Fairing Allowed
10″ Minimum on Seat Height FROM Ground
*PRO Jr 3, Jr 3 Heavy, Jr 3 Lite, Jr Clone
17″ MAXIMUM Height on Nose Cone (From the Ground)
Steering Fairing is Allowed
12″ Minimum on Seat Height FROM Ground
MISC INFO:
*Kart Numbers MUST be CLEARLY visible from across the track and numbers must be on all FOUR corners (front, left side, right side, rear). If we cannot see your number from the other side of the track you will be asked to fix it. This is very important in the Raceceiver classes. If we can not see your number on the kart we can not communicate with you. Therefore, anyone who doesn’t fix their number after being asked, may be penalized. Any questions please contact me at 6154273427. Thanks.
